At just 22, Roman Borisov has emerged as one of the most captivating voices of his generation. His musical journey began at the age of four with Mary Lebenzon at the Novosibirsk Conservatory, who mentored him until 2020. Early competition successes soon followed, along with a scholarship from the Spivakov Foundation. He was awarded first prize at the 2019 Krainev Youth Competition and at the 2022 Kissinger KlavierOlymp (as its youngest participant), among others. Since 2025, he has held a three-year residency in Potsdam’s Debut at Nikolaisaal series, encompassing solo, chamber, and orchestral projects. He has performed with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester, the Helsinki Philharmonic, and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, working with conductors including Kent Nagano, Ariane Matiakh, Joseph Bastian, Nil Venditti, Howard Griffiths, and John Axelrod.
