Què ens hi trobarem?
El programa que ha preparat la soprano Mireia Tarragó per al seu primer recital a Vilabertran després de la participació al programa Lied the Future s'articula a partir de dues obres de compositors catalans, La rosa als llavis d'Eduard Toldrà i Combat del somni de Frederic Mompou, que dialoguen amb altres obres del repertori francès i alemany que en comparteixen l'esperit.
Les obres destacades
La rosa als llavis, composta per Toldrà el 1936 a partir de poemes de Joan Salvat-Papasseit i el Combat del somni, compost entre 1942 i 1951 per Mompou a partir de poemes del seu amic Josep Janés, són dos cicles que parlen de l'amor de dues maneres molt diferents: fresca i joganera el primer, introspectiva i nostàlgica el segon. A partir de caràcters tan diferents, tots dos constitueixen, probablement, els cicles més representatius del repertori català.

Born in Tarragona in 1995, Mireia Tarragó took a bachelor’s degree in Singing and a master’s degree in Lied Interpretation at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). She now forms a duo with the pianist Carmen Santamaría, with whom she gives song recitals across Spain, making the work of a number of women composers more widely known. She also recently presented her first record in tribute to the Cantabrian composer Arturo Dúo-Vital. In the field of opera, Mireia Tarragó recently debuted as Contessa de Ceprano (Rigoletto) under the baton of Oliver Díaz. Her repertoire includes such roles as Lucy (The Telephone), Micaëla (Carmen) and Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi). In 2020, Mireia Tarragó won the Catalunya Música prize in the contest El Primer Palau. She has performed on various occasions at the Schubertíada and at the LIFE Victoria festival in Barcelona. She has also sung in such outstanding venues as the Auditorium of the Opéra National de Bordeaux and L’Auditori in Barcelona.

Wolfram Rieger studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich with Erik Werba and Helmut Deutsch, and attended several masterclasses with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Hans Hotter and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. He began teaching at the Munich Hochschule in 1991 while still a student. In 1998 he became a professor at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin and regularly holds masterclasses throughout Europe and Japan. He is frequently invited to important venues and festivals around the world, such as the Feldkirch and Vilabertran Schubertiades, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, London’s Wigmore Hall, and the Vienna Musikverein. He has accompanied Brigitte Fassbaender, Barbara Bonney, Juliane Banse, Michelle Breedt, Thomas Hampson, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Matthias Goerne, and Thomas Quasthoff, among others.
