Abel Tomàs, violin

Born in Barcelona in 1980, Abel Tomàs began his musical studies with his father and his uncle. Later he studied at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía and at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne. At sixteen years of age, he was a founding member of the internationally recognized Cuarteto Casals, a chamber music ensemble that maintains a full calendar of artistic activity, appearing in the most renowned halls in Europe, Latin America, the United States, and Japan. As soloist, he has appeared with various orchestras including Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona and Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife.Together with his brother Arnau Tomàs Realp and pianist Hyo-Sun Lim, Abel is a founding member of the Ludwig Trio. Aside from concertizing, Abel teaches violin and chamber music at the Escuela Superior de Música de Catalunya and additionally gives masterclasses in both Europe and the United States.

Adelphi Quartet, quartet de corda

Format el 2017 per quatre músics europeus, el quartet va estudiar amb els membres del Hagen Quartett a la Universität Mozarteum de Salzburg. Entre els nombrosos premis que ha rebut destaquen el primer premi al Concurs Irene Steels-Wilsing Stiftung a la Heidelberger Frühling el 2020 i el segon premi i el premi Esterházy Foundation al Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition el 2022. A més, actualment són YCAT Hans Keller Artist, en la primera edició del programa. Durant els darrers anys han debutat al Wigmore Hall de Londres, l’Elbphilharmonie d’Hamburg, l’Schloss Esterházy a Eisenstadt, a Flagey a Brussel·les i a la Fundación Juan March, entre altres. En la temporada actual destaquen el seu debut al Festival de Lucerna i gires per Anglaterra i Europa.

Albert Guinovart, piano

The composer and pianist Albert Guinovart is the exceptional heir of the extraordinary cultural renaissance that emerged so powerfully in early twentieth-century Catalonia. His prolific work includes the composition of two operas, a ballet, an extensive catalogue of symphonic works, and no less important production of chamber repertoire, with the piano as a constant feature of his work from the beginning of his career to the present. As a performer, Albert Guinovart has given concerts in which he performs his own compositions, as well as the great repertoire, in numerous recitals in the most prestigious concert halls in Europe, America, Japan, and Australia. It is not difficult to find him in important and renowned concert series, and he has left us with unforgettable moments with the recitals that he has given all over the world, together with Victoria de los Ángeles.

Aleksandra Myslek, piano

The prize-winner of national and international competitions, including the Robert Schumann International Competition in Poland and Frédéric Chopin International Competition in Hungary, and having won two of the chamber music prizes at the Royal Academy of Music, Aleksandra established herself as a sought-after chamber musician and now cooperates with both instrumentalists and singers. Aleksandra is a staff pianist at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire and at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama as well as a frequent guest at the Royal Academy of Music, where she works as an accompanist and a piano and ensemble tutor for the Widening Participation Department. She was a Santander Encuentro de Música, Leeds Lieder, and Solti Accademia Young Artist and is a Britten Pears Young Artist 2023-24. 2024 is a year of her Carnegie Hall debut as a participant of the Renée Fleming Song Studio.

Àlex Ramírez, piano

Born in Barcelona, his principal mentors were Margarita Serrat and Josep Colom. He received instruction from Paul Badura-Skoda, Alicia de Larrocha, Bernard Greenhouse, and Rainer Schmidt. Awarded in various competitions as a soloist and chamber musician, he currently dedicates himself mainly to chamber music. In recent seasons, he has performed at venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Stadthalle in Kronberg, L'Auditori, and the Fundación Juan March. Over the past fifteen years, he has collaborated extensively with the theater company Títeres Etcétera, performing at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Santander International Festival, the Quinzena Musical Donostiarra, and the Festival of Wonder in Silkeborg (Denmark). As an educator, he has taught at the Liceu, Zaragoza, and Ciutat de Palma conservatories. He is annually invited to the Tihms Academy and Festival in Bergen.
