Anna Lucia Richter has established herself internationally as a versatile and captivating mezzo- soprano, both in opera and concert repertoire. Her voice, combining baroque lightness with romantic intensity, enables her to perform a wide range of works from Bach to Mahler, including Schubert, Wolf, Brahms, Monteverdi, Mozart, Bizet, Strauss, and contemporary composers. After beginning her career as a soprano, she transitioned to the mezzo-soprano repertoire in 2020. She has appeared at opera houses in Amsterdam, Vienna, Berlin, and Cologne, and with leading ensembles such as the Vienna Philharmonic, the London Symphony, and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra under conductors like Currentzis, Järvi, and Welser-Möst. She is also a frequent guest at venues such as the Concertgebouw, Carnegie Hall, and Suntory Hall, and at festivals including the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg/Hohenems, Lucerne, Schubertíada, Verbier, and the Proms.
