
Born in Esparreguera (Barcelona) in a musicians' family, Maria started her violin studies at the age of four with her father, cellist and conductor Cristian Florea, and was only seven years old when she performed her first concert as a soloist. She studied in Barcelona and at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid. She completed her master's degree in Performance at the Royal Academy of Music of London and postgraduated at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Musik-Akademie in Basel. As a soloist and chamber musician she has performed in concert halls in Europe such as Palau de la Música Catalana and L’Auditori in Barcelona, Teatro Monumental and Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest and Wigmore Hall in London; she has recently been on a 19 concert tour as a soloist in China. She’s a member of Trio da Vinci, founded in 2018.

Born in Barcelona, his principal mentors were Margarita Serrat and Josep Colom. He received instruction from Paul Badura-Skoda, Alicia de Larrocha, Bernard Greenhouse, and Rainer Schmidt. Awarded in various competitions as a soloist and chamber musician, he currently dedicates himself mainly to chamber music. In recent seasons, he has performed at venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Stadthalle in Kronberg, L'Auditori, and the Fundación Juan March. Over the past fifteen years, he has collaborated extensively with the theater company Títeres Etcétera, performing at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Santander International Festival, the Quinzena Musical Donostiarra, and the Festival of Wonder in Silkeborg (Denmark). As an educator, he has taught at the Liceu, Zaragoza, and Ciutat de Palma conservatories. He is annually invited to the Tihms Academy and Festival in Bergen.

Born in Barcelona in 1980, Abel Tomàs began his musical studies with his father and his uncle. Later he studied at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía and at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne. At sixteen years of age, he was a founding member of the internationally recognized Cuarteto Casals, a chamber music ensemble that maintains a full calendar of artistic activity, appearing in the most renowned halls in Europe, Latin America, the United States, and Japan. As soloist, he has appeared with various orchestras including Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona and Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife.Together with his brother Arnau Tomàs Realp and pianist Hyo-Sun Lim, Abel is a founding member of the Ludwig Trio. Aside from concertizing, Abel teaches violin and chamber music at the Escuela Superior de Música de Catalunya and additionally gives masterclasses in both Europe and the United States.

Graduated with honors in piano performance at the ESMUC and the Master of Piano at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, she is currently also completing her studies in Hamburg, the prestigious Konzertexamen. In 2025 she received the Franz-Wirth Stiftung scholarship of excellence in Hamburg. She performs regularly in Catalonia, the rest of Spain, the United Kingdom and Germany. She has been awarded in international competitions such as the Isaac Albéniz Competition in Camprodon or the Elise Meyer Competition in Hamburg, among others. In parallel with her training and piano activity, she is the promoter and artistic director of the Clàssic Pals Festival and, since 2022, she has formed a duo with the violinist Abel Tomàs. She is also a piano teacher at the Marshall Academy in Barcelona and an adjunct professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg.
