Què ens hi trobarem?
Els lieder d'Hugo Wolf, compostos a les acaballes del segle XIX, són una font d'inspiració per a la Segona Escola de Viena: per a Arnold Schönberg i els seus deixebles Alban Berg i Anton Webern. Alhora, inevitablement, beuen dels grans noms que el van precedir: Franz Schubert i Robert Schumann. Les cançons de tots sis compositors s'entrellacen en un programa en el qual l'enyorança és un tema recurrent.
L'obra destacada
Al llenguatge dels Sieben frühe Lieder d'Alban Berg, cançons primerenques compostes entre 1905 i 1908, hi trobem la influència de compositors anteriors, de Schumann a Strauss passant per Wolf i Mahler, i també l'empremta del professor Schönberg, amb cançons que es mouen cap a l'atonalitat. Reflecteixen, així, les inquietuds musicals a Viena als primers anys del segle XX.

Meredith Wohlgemuth
Meredith Wohlgemuth

Meredith Wohlgemuth, soprano, is a 2023 Grand Prize Winner of The Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition. In the 2025/26 season Meredith debuts with Seattle Opera in Carmen (Frasquita), New Orleans Opera for Der Rosenkavalier (Sophie), and joins the roster of The Metropolitan Opera for La fille du régiment. On the concert stage, she makes her debut at Tiroler Festspiele Erl in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 under Asher Fisch and with The Cleveland Orchestra in their annual holiday concerts conducted by Sarah Hicks. Meredith was a member of the ensemble at Staatsoper Hannover for two seasons where she made numerous role debuts. She holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Arts from The Juilliard School (2020) and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Concordia University, Nebraska (2018).

Jinhee Park
Jinhee Park

Jinhee Park is a pianist and conductor whose artistry is shaped by years of work across vocal, instrumental, and orchestral repertoire. She has received international acclaim through her long-standing partnership with soprano Meredith Wohlgemuth. Together, they won first prizes at the Schubert International LiedDuo Competition in Dortmund (2023) and the Concours International Musical de Montréal (Art Song Division, 2022), where Jinhee received each competition’s Best Pianist Award. Her recent performances as a vocal and chamber pianist include recitals at the Schubertíada, SchubertFest Dortmund, the Schumann-Haus in Zwickau, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center. Jinhee serves on the faculty of the Manhattan School of Music and as a staff pianist at The Juilliard School. In 2025, she earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano from The Juilliard School.
