Què ens hi trobarem?
La soprano sueca Malin Byström ha preparat per al seu debut a la Schubertíada un programa que recorre la mélodie des dels primers autors del gènere fins a les primeres dècades del segle XX, època a la qual continuarem a la segona part, ara amb compositors alemanys i el suec Ture Rangström.
El compositor destacat
Les cançons de Ture Rängström (1884 - 1947) destaquen pel seu caràcter tardoromàntic i les seves melodies àmplies i envolupants. Poc interpretat fora de Suècia, aquest concert ens ofereix la possibilitat de descobrir-lo.

Malin Byström

Malin Byström studied at the University College of Opera in Stockholm. She made her praised role debut as Salome in 2017, a role for which she was awarded the prize as the Female Singer of the year at the 2018 International Opera Awards. She has performed the roles of Marie (Wozzeck), Elsa (Lohengrin), The Woman (Erwartung), Minnie (La fanciulla del West), Rusalka, Donna Elvira and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Mathilde (Guillaume Tell), Marguerite (Faust), Elisabeth de Valois (Don Carlos), Jenůfa, Die Feldmarschallin (Der Rosenkavalier), Fedora, Tosca or Desdemona (Otello), in opera houses such as Dutch National Opera, Teatro Real, Wiener Staatsoper, Royal Opera House, Metropolitan Opera House, Deutsche Oper Berlin or San Francisco Opera. On the concert platform Malin Byström has sung Mendelssohn’s Elias, Beethoven’s Symphony No 9 and Missa Solemnis, Grieg’s Peer Gynt or Mozart’s C Minor Mass.

Magnus Svensson is acknowledged as one of the leading Scandinavian accompanists, collaborating with singers worldwide including Dorothea Röschmann, Nina Stemme, Christophe Prégardien, Malin Byström, Benjamin Appl, Miah Persson or Irène Theorin, as well as rising stars such as Christina Nilsson and Johanna Wallroth. He is a regular solo guest, chamber musician and accompanist at leading music venues and festivals across Scandinavia, Europe, and the United States. A highly respected programmer, he curates the prestigious Lied series for the Konserthuset. He has been the Musical Editor at The Royal Swedish Academy of Music since 2012 and has since published over 750 new editions of Swedish music. He teaches at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm as well as at The College of Music and Opera at Mälardalens University.
